“We knew life at Springmoor would be good, but it’s even better than expected,” exclaims resident Albert Calloway. He and his wife, Lorine, have been residents since 2010.
When asked why they chose Springmoor for senior living, our residents often go into detail regarding the benefits of a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). One example is resident Judy Grant, who joined our community in August 2019. Though she has a close-knit extended family, she was adamant about moving to a CCRC rather than living with one of her adult children.
“My children are wonderfully involved in my life,” says Judy, “but I’m very independent and wanted my own digs.”

“All dimensions of life are dealt with here: spiritual, intellectual, physical and social,” says C.P. Minnick, who moved to our community in 2009.

Other residents are quick to praise the campus, with its many mature trees and carefully tended landscaping. Jane Preiss, a resident since 2013, exclaims: “The campus here is beautiful, and we really like our apartment on the third floor surrounded by trees—like a tree house!” Others emphasize how mild Raleigh winters make outdoor activities possible year-round.
Resident Jim Bundy shares that he and his wife Faye “[F]eel like we made the right decision to move to the right place at the right time. There is such a wealth of activities, and although we’ve tried, we just can’t make it to all of them! It’s an incredibly friendly and giving community and we are happy to be a part of it.”
