Guest Rooms

On the Springmoor campus, there are a variety of guest suites and rooms available for residents and their families. We offer rooms similar to a hotel with multiple combinations of beds: 2 doubles, 1 queen, or a queen and a pullout sofa. There are also suites available with a full kitchen and living area. These rooms and apartments are located in all corners of the campus so that you may stay close to your family member.

Reservations are required to stay in a room here at Springmoor. In the peak holiday season, they are often booked a few months in advance. During other times of the year, a one week notice is usually all that is needed to reserve a room. It’s as simple as calling the Springmoor front desk. Just like a hotel, our check in is at 3:00 p.m. and check out is at 11:00 a.m. Pricing varies depending on the room size, but you will find that the rates are usually lower than hotels located in the area.

Dining

We welcome guests to our dining facilities at anytime. The Grill and The Bistro are favorites for many family members year round. A morning cup of coffee and a danish, an afternoon ice cream cone, or a tasty Ruben sandwich are among the favorites at Springmoor. It’s hard to walk by our dining areas and not spot a resident and their guests enjoying lively conversation and a sweet treat.

Our main dining rooms also welcome your guests. A resident can simply swipe his or her own meal card for their guests during their stay. We typically need only a 24-hour notification to prepare for your guests. If you prefer to have private dining with a large family group, dining services offers multiple places for dining with a catered menu or with selections from our daily offerings. Our chef and catering manager are always eager to make your guests feel welcomed.

Exercise

Would you like to invite your guest to join you in a tai chi class or an early morning swim? They are more than welcome to join you! If your grandchildren are visiting and you want to bring them to the pool, we only ask that you be there with them to supervise their activities. We have open pool times throughout the day and on weekends. If an aquatics class or a free swim is in progress, we hope you will come back with your group when the other residents are finished with their activities.

Exercise classes and equipment are also available for your family members during their Raleigh visit. Before a resident can use the equipment, they must each go through a training session. For safety reasons, we ask that each resident remain with his or her guests in the workout facilities too. The buddy system is always encouraged for your safety as wells as theirs!

Our nature trails and neighborhood location also provides a wonderful outdoor space for the runners and walkers in your family. With city parks, restaurants, museums, and shopping close by, there is always an activity for everyone.

Events and Activities

Springmoor does offer a wide variety of classes, lectures, movies, musicals, and day trips off-campus. If your guests are here during a lecture series or a Springmoor Presents! event, we would love to have them join you for the evening. Because our off-campus trips may have limited seating on the bus, we ask that you provide your own transportation for these events.

If you prefer to schedule an outing with your family and want a few good ideas for local adventures, browse through the Springtimes monthly magazine for some great suggestions. Springmoor neighbors and staff are always ready to suggest a wonderful place to eat, or a museum to visit with your grandchildren or friends. Raleigh’s list of things to do while visiting could keep you busy for weeks!

Send out the invitation! We’ll have a room ready and plenty of great things to entertain your guests. Dining, swimming, watching movies, playing ping pong, or taking a walk are favorites for our residents as well as their family members. We look forward to seeing you and your guests around campus!
