This month we’ll feature the community’s memory care services, the Seay Wing within our Stewart Health Center.
It’s no secret that Springmoor residents actively enjoy walking our peaceful grounds, dancing at our fun events and swimming at our brand new Pathways Wellness Center, but if you ask residents what else they like about our Northwest Raleigh community and they will tell you that it’s peace of mind, knowing that supportive services are there for them when they need them.
Gail Ramsay
Gail Ramsay oversees the program for residents in memory care, ensuring that daily events are engaging and providing a warm environment. Gail has worked at Springmoor for 15 years, working in memory care since 2009. She goes out of her way to put residents and their families at ease.
Gail is one of the first faces to greet you when you walk through the doors. It’s evident from the first meeting that she and the staff instill a family atmosphere along with a sense of security. She wears many hats in her position.
“Sometimes I’m the boss, sometimes the friend … I’m whatever I need to be,” she said.
The family atmosphere Gail creates doesn’t just apply to the residents and staff. Gail encourages families to be a huge part in events at the community. Whether it’s just dropping by for a quick visit, eating dinner there, or participating in their activities, families are always welcome. Gail also works with her resident’s families to make sure that the care their loved one is receiving is exactly what they want.
